The Young Solar Challenge is an educational project where secondary school students work together to design and build their own solar-powered boats.
They race their boats in different competitions, while learning about sustainable technology, teamwork and how to manage a project.
My role & skills
Within the Young Solar Challenge, I help organise the events and lead the RC Solar Class.
Together with the team, I work on developing this class, from the first ideas to making sure everything is ready for the events.
I'm also looking for new partners who would like to be part of the Young Solar Challenge. This means getting in touch with people, sharing our story and seeing how we can work together.
Besides that, I'm responsible for communication and media. I work closely with our media team to make sure our stories are shared across the different social media channels.
One of the things we've created over the past seasons is the Solar Journaal a video series that gives a look behind the scenes of the Young Solar Challenge.
